I’ve always liked Legends Day at IMS. I don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn and rush to the track and it is a pretty laid-back day. Today George’s family comes in and they become absorbed in the annual history and technology behind racing. Don’t get me started about the annual day-long trip to the IMS Museum where every valve, strut, and livery are closely examined in the way only engineers and long-time race fans can do. Sometime today or tonight my son, Eric will arrive and the friend he was going to bring had to back out at the last minute due to a family illness, so I’m not sure who is coming with him.

I’ve mentioned before that one of the perks of being a lowly IndyCar blogger is that I am sometimes asked to evaluate books, DVDs and TV specials before they become available to the public. I’ve also mentioned that in some cases, what I test out is sometimes bad…very bad. What I generally do in that case is just silently pass on doing a review.
We Have A Winner!

We have a winner for the 2019 Oilpressure.com Indianapolis 500 Trivia Contest. One entrant suggested I list all of the entrants and rank them by their score. I’m not going to do that for two reasons. The main reason is that it would be a lot of trouble. The second reason is that some people didn’t come close to winning, and this is supposed to be fun and not embarrassing to people. So I decided I would list and rank the Top-Three, as sort of a podium – even though there is no podium for the Indianapolis 500.
A Quick and Immediate Reaction

Just minutes after Sunday’s qualifying session ended, Paul Dalbey (Fieldof33.com) and I decided it would be a good time to shoot a very quick episode of Two Sites Unite. This one is different from our first two episodes in a couple of ways. First, we were actually both present at the same location (IMS) and didn’t have to resort to Skype. The other difference was that this one was actually short.
