Last week, we got confirmation on what had been widely speculated for a while – that the Verizon IndyCar Series would not be returning to ISM Raceway at Phoenix for the foreseeable future. Was anyone really surprised by this? Since IndyCar’s return to Phoenix three years ago, the crowds have been abysmal and the racing hasn’t been much better.

For many years, in my graphic design career, I purchased and contracted with photographers to capture editorial photographs for whatever publication I was working on. Fast forward to when my son, Eric, played hockey throughout high school – that’s when I became the unofficial team photographer—the ultimate hockey mom.

It’s Race Day At Road America

Good morning from an absolutely gorgeous day at Road America. There is not a cloud in the sky and even though it’s still on 63-degrees, it feels great! The projected high today is 75 and it should be 73 when the green flag drops just after noon local time. I’m not sure the racing gods could have created a more perfect day to be at a race track.
