There are a lot of adjectives you could use to describe the Shell and Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston, but there is one word that you could not possibly use – parade. The Verizon IndyCar Series put on a whale of a show this weekend. Between the craziness of Saturday and the insanity of yesterday, I’m not sure when I’ve seen a more entertaining and unpredictable weekend of street racing in the many years that I have followed this sport.

To tell the truth, I don’t watch a ton of NASCAR. I don’t really hold a grudge against them, even though they claim to invent everything. Nor do I blame them for getting the vast amount of ratings, so far as racing goes. It’s not their fault they do a better job of marketing, even though I don’t care for their product as much as the Verizon IndyCar Series. It’s more about so much time in a weekend.
The Evil That Idle Time Brings

Down-time in the Verizon IndyCar Series means idle time. Idle time generally leads to bad things – evil things. And so it is with One Take Only; the videoblog of Oilpressure.com. It is unrehearsed, unscripted and unedited. We just sit down, start the camera rolling and start talking about IndyCar – all the while keeping an eye on the clock to keep it under fifteen minutes for You Tube. Whatever we get, we keep – hence the name.
