As noted yesterday, it seems that Alexander Rossi picked up where he left off at Detroit. Even with a clutch issue in this morning’s practice, Rossi was fourth quick – following Pato O’Ward, Will Power and Alex Palou. This afternoon – Rossi put his No. 27 Honda on the pole for Sunday’s Sonsio Grand Prix at Road America, with a time of 1:44.8656.

We were BOTH moving slowly this morning, but we are finally all checked in and settled at Road America. They have a new automated system here, where you check in online before arriving. When we showed our phones, we didn’t even need to get out of the car – they brought our credentials and parking pass to us.

Forgive me as this post starts out on a personal note, but I will get down to this weekend’s Sonsio Grand Prix at Road America in a minute. What is Sonsio, you ask? It is a Vehicle Protection Company, offering all types of different plans, that are probably better than the extended warranties you field daily calls about.

I belong to a few IndyCar-related Facebook groups. Some are better than others, and a lot of times you have to sift through some incredibly inept posts from these groups in order to find something meaningful or enjoyable. For example, in one of these groups just last week – someone started a conversation advocating for lights at IMS, in order to run the 500 at night. Please.
