It’s Day Two at Road America

Welcome to a currently partially overcast Saturday morning at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The weather is OK for now, but rain is expected to show up this afternoon – possibly at the end of qualifying, which could mix things up.

Yesterday’s crowd was good for a Friday, but things seem more crowded than yesterday. Crowds are never bad here, but there are certainly more people milling about this morning.

The morning practice gets underway at 9:45 local time (CDT) and will follow the format of guaranteed forty-five minutes within the one-hour window format. Qualifying begins at 12:45 pm CDT; with the final practice session going from 4:20 pm to 4:50 pm. Both practices and qualifying will be shown on Peacock exclusively. Tomorrow’s race coverage begins at 11:30 am CDT on Big NBC.

We are heading out to catch practice. Depending on weather and other track activities, we may or may not be back midday. Otherwise, we will be back for a late afternoon wrap-up. Susan will try to have a post up here sometime later today to give her take on Road America this weekend, as well as her ordeal over the past couple of months.

In the meantime, feel free to follow us on Twitter for photos, videos and comments. Follow me at @Oilpressureblog or Susan at @MrsOilpressure. Please check back later.
