Back around the first week in May, fellow IndyCar blogger and good friend Mike Silver of The Pit Window wrote a post about the lack of buzz for the Month of May. His post seemed to be dead-on at the time. Mike actually lives in Indianapolis and has been following this sport a long time. I trust his judgment. He writes a very good blog, by the way. If you haven’t visited his site, you need to check it out.

Posted in Indianapolis 500 on May 19, 2021 by OilpressureIt was so great to be back at The Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the GMR Grand Prix. We were not able to see everyone we wanted to see because walking long distances is hard for me. I’m in the home stretch of my treatment plan—I’m in single digits now of the last part of my treatment, chemo and radiation. I had about two months after surgery to gain my strength back for the next onslaught of treatment.

As I type, I can still say “Good Morning” from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This morning, we deviated from our normal routine. I know that change is normally bad, but since we had to deal with my primitive laptop internet issues yesterday, we never got a chance to go and explore the grounds. Instead of scurrying to the IMS Media Center and putting up a post, we immediately went to the Garage Area to check things out.
