Back in my opening post of the month, I warned you that there could possibly be two posts of One Take Only, the video blog of this site featuring myself and longtime friend, co-worker and fellow IndyCar fan John McLallen. We always sit down with no script or outline. We just start the cameral rolling and just start talking – usually with disastrous results. If we mess up, we keep it – hence the name One Take Only. The first episode was on May 2. Three weeks later, here it comes again.

Congratulations to Rick Johnson, for winning this year’s Oilpressure.com Trivia Contest…again. I’m losing count, but I believe this is Rick’s fourth win. Rick only missed two this year, which far surpassed any of the other entries. As usual, there were a couple of answers that I allowed when there seemed to be some gray to the answer. Thanks to everyone who played along. I hope you had as much fun playing, as I did putting it together. Here are the correct answers:
Having Fun at Ericsson’s Expense

Many are still laughing and joking about the mistake that Marcus Ericsson made on Sunday, when he lost track of his lap count and backed off of the throttle just after taking the white flag. He had mistakenly thought it was the checkered. As it turned out, it only cost him one spot. His run would’ve probably put him inside the eleventh row, but after it was all said and done – Ericsson will start in the middle of the last row.

Good morning (afternoon) from a hot and muggy Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We were not here for the start of practice. We met Paul Dalbey and his son, Jackson, at Charlie Brown’s this morning for breakfast. Unfortunately, a lot of race fans had the same idea. We had to wait for our table, but it was well worth the wait. As we were in the parking lot, we could hear the cars on track for the start of the first practice.
