Good morning from a currently pleasant Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It is currently 66° on its way to a high of 84°. While yesterday certainly had a buzz about it, it doesn’t compare to the tension felt by some of the teams today. Many cars that seemed fast earlier in the week, suddenly find themselves frantically searching for speed – especially those with Chevy power.

Random Thoughts on Fast Friday

Fast Friday lived up to its name today as the boost was turned up and the teams started preparing for either a realistic run for the pole or doing their best to land in the Top-Thirty and avoid having to deal with the Last Row Shootout on Sunday. So she will rest up this weekend and be ready to go for Race Weekend.

His post seemed to be dead-on at the time. Mike actually lives in Indianapolis and has been following this sport a long time. I trust his judgment. He writes a very good blog, by the way. If you haven’t visited his site, you need to check it out.

It was so great to be back at The Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the GMR Grand Prix. We were not able to see everyone we wanted to see because walking long distances is hard for me. I’m in the home stretch of my treatment plan—I’m in single digits now of the last part of my treatment, chemo and radiation. I had about two months after surgery to gain my strength back for the next onslaught of treatment.

The Forgotten Voice

The way some people are remembered in history is a curious thing. History can be kind to some, where many of their sins are forgotten over a period of time for one reason or another. Others can have their legacy drift away to where they are nothing more than a forgotten footnote.
