My Technological Dilemma

If you think it’s been a while since I’ve posted here, you are correct. There are a few reasons for that. Most importantly, Susan was hospitalized over the weekend. Last Thursday afternoon, I got home from work and found her on the couch. That may sound normal to some people, but she likes to be active. She was lethargic and talking a little goofy. I took her temperature and she had a fever of 104.9˚. That was not a typo.

Is This a Bad Decision?

In recent years, I have been looking for any type of distraction while watching the Tennessee Titans play. I found one yesterday as I was perusing through Twitter to take my mind off of the depressing performance in front of me.

The Dominos are Starting to Fall

When it was officially announced that Will Power would not be returning for an eighteenth season at Team Penske, that put several things in motion and the dominos started falling after that. Honestly, there was not a lot of drama by the time the Power announcement was released right at 10:00 am EDT on Tuesday. Most would have been more surprised if he had stayed by that point. The only perceived drama was the wording on the Team Penske release that said “…Will felt like it was time for him to make a change.”

Random Thoughts on Nashville

And just like that, the IndyCar season is over. The season started out slowly. Through the first four races, there was only one caution throughout that span – the opening lap of the opening race at St. Petersburg. What a race! If you ever wondered why people keep harping about more ovals, look no further than the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix at Nashville Superspeedway. First of all, congratulations to Nashville native Josef Newgarden for winning today’s race on his home track. Victory in Nashville had been evading Newgarden, but today he was able to close the deal.

It’s Race Day at Nashville Superspeedway!

Good morning from another sun-drenched day at Nashville Superspeedway. Yesterday afternoon was warmer than expected for practice and qualifying. Today will most likely be the same, but possibly a couple of degrees cooler. I’ll take this any day to dodging raindrops at an oval.

What a perfect day at the race track! First of all, my Tennessee Vols won – beating Syracuse 45-26. While that was going on, we got to watch an interesting qualifying session that say David Malukas come up just short for the second week in a row. This time it was Pato O’Ward knocking Malukas off of the pole. Once again, Malukas will start on the outside of the front-row. And no, that is not called the outside pole, as I heard someone say today.
