For whatever reason, Fridays have always had very light traffic on this site. Even on race weekends, my “(Fill in the blank) Preview” posts go largely ignored. Imagine how small the readership is in the offseason. No, I’m not abandoning my Friday posts, but there is a good chance many of you missed my post this past Friday. It has relevance to what I am writing about today, so you may want to go back and read it.

We are having a late fall in the south. Here in Nashville, we normally have had at least one heavy frost by this time, but the temperature has only dipped into the upper forties on our coolest mornings, so far. The fall foliage is usually at it’s peak around mid-October, but as we head into Halloween – the trees in Nashville are just now getting a yellow hue to them. Based on some of the photos I saw from the IndyCar test at Barber Motorsports Park on Monday, fall is even more delayed in Birmingham.
The Mailbag Lives On

Last Wednesday, Racer.com posted an article announcing that a new version of Robin Miller’s Mailbag would return on Wednesday November 3. When I read that, I began to visualize the outrage of some fans, while others will be overjoyed.
Another Curious Decision

As hard as it is to believe, we are four weeks into the offseason for the NTT IndyCar Series. In those four weeks, I have already written two different posts involving Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLLR). Today is the second time this week I’ve written about the team operated by the 1986 Indianapolis 500 winner and the three-time CART champion. One might think I am either obsessed with RLLR or have a vendetta against the team. I’ll assure you that neither is the case, but they have been in the news lately – so I thought I would offer up my thoughts on the latest headlines generated by the team, if anyone is interested.
