This weekend marks our favorite non-Indianapolis 500 race on the schedule for the NTT IndyCar Series. This might be considered heresy by some, but if I was told I could only go to one race per year for the rest of my life; I’m not sure which I would choose – the Indianapolis 500 or Road America. That’s how much we love going to Road America.

Random Thoughts on the Sonsio Grand Prix

The 2025 Sonsio Grand Prix is now in the books. I have attended this race every May since its inception in 2014. Seldom is there one of these that makes you sit on the edge of your seat, unless it’s raining. Saturday was no exception.
Alex Palou Wins Once Again

This is getting monotonous. As I said last week; if this keeps up, FOX is going to want their money back. I never saw TV ratings for Barber, but if they were good – I’m sure we would’ve heard about it. Alex Palou won another race, and IndyCar almost had another caution-free race.
A Quick Note Before the Race

Good afternoon from a sunny and warm Indianapolis Motor Speedway. After a good night of sleep and having a leisurely (free) breakfast at the hotel – we arrived at the track around 11:00 this morning. MrsOilpressure is here today and is feeling much better. Although we brought a wheelchair with us, she wanted to leave it in the car. I’m not surprised.

Well, we made it to IMS – but fairly late this afternoon. But first things first; Susan had her procedure done early this morning in Louisville. It was partially successful.

Greetings from Louisville, KY. Before getting into a look at the upcoming weekend at IMS, I wanted to let you know that our weekend plans are fluid at best. Life has thrown us a slight curveball, but we are hopeful it will be a good one. If you’ve followed along here since January, you know that Susan had a couple of setbacks with her health this past winter. She is still carrying around a reminder of what sent her to the ER on New Year’s Day – a biliary tube that drains into an external bag.
