Note from George: I thought I would share my thoughts on yesterday’s race and give a quick update on my wife Susan. She did not go home from the hospital as I had hoped, the day after Doug Boles and Josef Newgarden unveiled the ticket for this year’s Indianapolis 500. That even took place on Thursday, March 6. She was finally discharged the evening of Monday March 10 – almost five weeks after she went in.

If you follow the NTT IndyCar Series or the Indianapolis 500 at all on social media, you probably saw that there were two events to celebrate the unveiling of the 2025 Indianapolis 500 ticket yesterday. One took place in Indianapolis yesterday morning. More specifically, it took place at the Indianapolis Airport. Why there? For a couple of reasons – first the IMS Museum, where they usually hold such things, is still closed for renovations. Secondly, it was held there to commemorate the beginning of non-stop service for Southwest Airlines between Indianapolis and Nashville. Guess where the second celebration was.

Some Big News Just Before the Season

We learned the (tentative) pit-reporter lineup for FOX and their IndyCar coverage that starts this weekend. I say tentative because the official announcement is supposed to come sometime today. I am absolutely thrilled with this lineup, and this should serve as a lesson to not believe the rumor mill.
Will Any of the 2025 Liveries Deliver?

Well, my self-imposed sabbatical didn’t last very long. Under normal circumstances, this would have been my next day to post anyway. I was certainly not planning on posting today or even for the rest of this week – but Tuesday’s news was too big to sit out. Oh, and another thing – this site goes through WordPress. There have been some strange things going on with WordPress he last few days. There were times when it would not let people comment. I got a few e-mails from readers wondering if I had blocked them.
