We learned the (tentative) pit-reporter lineup for FOX and their IndyCar coverage that starts this weekend. I say tentative because the official announcement is supposed to come sometime today. I am absolutely thrilled with this lineup, and this should serve as a lesson to not believe the rumor mill.

At this time of year, it’s sometimes hard to come up with a relevant topic. Sometimes I go rogue and discuss something that has nothing to do with IndyCar. Other times, I’ll usually scour the Racer.com Mailbag. Generally, I’ll see something in there that will either make me smile or bristle and the words start flowing into the keyboard. Me bristling was the case for today’s post.

This past Friday, we got word that a legend is stepping down. Tim Cindric, President of Team Penske will step aside from his day-to-day duties of basically running Team Penske after 25 years. Cindric wasn’t just heading up the three-car IndyCar team – he was also in charge of the NASCAR program, and the sports car program. If there was anything in the Penske organization that had to do with any of their racing teams – Cindric was in charge.
