The Return of the Chevrons

Several times before, I’ve mentioned here how much I enjoy the unveiling of new liveries. A couple of weeks ago, I detailed how we learned back in the early 90s, what new liveries we would be seeing for the upcoming year – mostly through the various motorsports magazines. I don’t think I’m the only one. Apparently, the teams and sponsors know how much we fans enjoy this; because they put together slick graphics that enhance the newest liveries. They also make sure to go on a social media campaign with photos and videos detailing the refreshed look of their car.

Dynasty or Fan-Fatigue?

After two weeks of hype, Super Bowl LVIII will finally take place this weekend. Super Bowls are all about hype and everything being over-the-top, but with this Super Bowl taking place in Las Vegas – things seem to be even more amped up. One of the topics of conversation going into this Super Bowl is to see if the Kansas City Chiefs can win their third Super Bowl in the past five years. They are already in their fourth Super Bowl in the past five years, but they lost to Tom Brady and Tampa Bay after the 2020 season.

Guaranteed Spots Are Back on the Table

By now, most of you have already heard or read that the NTT IndyCar Series is tossing around the idea of some sort of charter or franchise system. This would presumably replace the current Leader Circle that rewards most of the teams for participating in the full season of the series.

This is Not Bad for IndyCar

There was a tidal wave of reaction and response last week, when Michael Andretti was rejected in his bid to join Formula One as a new team for the 2025 or 2026 season. Despite meeting all of the set criteria, Andretti Cadillac was told they weren’t welcome to play on the big stage with F1.
