How many times have we been duped by this in the past decade? The pattern is familiar; AJ Foyt Enterprises announces a big offseason hire, and we all jump to the conclusion that the final piece of the puzzle has finally been found to propel them to – well…not greatness, but at least to be on par with the other smaller budget teams in the NTT IndyCar Series.

Another Month of May tradition is in danger of disappearing into the history books. If you take in the Month of May each year from your couch watching on TV, this won’t mean much to you. Yesterday we learned the Andretti Global has entered into a partnership with Cadillac of General Motors, to help Michael Andretti land the coveted berth in Formula One that he has been seeking for what seems like forever. This satisfies one of the main obstacles that had been cited as preventing Andretti to be admitted as an eleventh team – the introduction of a new OEM to Formula One.

Welcome to 2023! It’s good to be back for another year at Oilpressure.com. We had a good Christmas, but I think I learned one thing about myself. Although I will reach the magical age of 65 later this fall – twelve straight days off around the house has shown me that I may not be ready to retire from my day job anytime soon. It got old. I think Susan was also ready for me to go back to work on Tuesday.
