Going With His Heart, Not His Head

Earlier this week, Norris McDonald reported that NBC would be trimming Paul Tracy’s schedule back to a handful of races on their broadcasts of the NTT IndyCar Series. This is not speculation. He interviewed Tracy who confirmed that he will only be in the broadcast booth a total of six times, including this weekend’s season-opener at Barber Motorsports Park, just east of Birmingham, AL. The other five events will be at Texas, Indianapolis, Nashville, Laguna Seca and Long Beach.

A Predicted Resurgence for the 2021 Season

After mentioning replays on Peacock, I’ve had a couple of people ask me about how to access replays of the open test last week at IMS. We have Comcast Xfinity, and the Peacock app is already loaded into our cable box, so your device may be slightly different. Simply go to the Search button and start typing INDY. The practice sessions will immediately appear.

Just What the Doctor Ordered

One of the longest running theories regarding what ails the NTT IndyCar Series, is that it lacks a villain. There are a lot of drivers in the paddock that carry a clean-cut image that will be the envy of any potential sponsor, but most of today’s drivers shy away from any type of long-lasting controversy that might cost them a shot at a decent IndyCar ride.
