A Note From Mrs. Oilpressure

Susan
By Susan Phillips

Hello everyone, from the 8th floor of Vanderbilt Hospital. As hospitals go, this one is pretty impressive. Hopefully they are getting to the bottom of what ails me and I can be back with everyone again. I’m grateful we got to go to Road America, but I was not myself.

Missing our home race really hits hard because I had fun last year. It was a long day, but fun. This year I’m going to be in the air conditioning, but sitting up in my chair, which sounds really wimpy, but I’m going to see how long I can sit before having to return to my bed. Hopefully you will never know what this feels like—to claim a victory from sitting in a chair? I take my accomplishments as I get them.

Thank you so much to those who have thought of me and please continue to pray for me. I am temporarily down, but not out.

  3. Praying the doctors figure this all out and you are doing much better soon. Enjoy watching the race from the air conditioning. The humidity in Illinois has been awful. I’d be miserable at a race this weekend.
