There is a break in the action at IMS, as the crews have their last day of rest before the Month of May consumes their lives for the next couple of weeks. It’s good that everyone involved with racing gets the day off for Mother’s Day.

We will be taking a leisurely trip back home ourselves, after breakfast at Charlie Brown’s and our traditional stop at Long’s Donuts and The Famous Tomato on our way out of town.

Susan and I would like to wish all of the moms a very Happy Mother’s Day. I am reminded of Mother’s Day in 2013, when we went to visit my mother for the day. She was only 89 at the time, but lived to be 96 before passing away in 2020. She went along with the prop that many were using for photos to promote the race that year.
