Merry Christmas From Mr. & Mrs. Oilpressure

Once again we have reached that point in the year, where practically all activity stops for a couple of weeks or so – that is, unless you are in retail sales. That inactivity especially applies to the racing world. This is the one time of year that most teams and drivers go into hibernation. They know that shortly after the calendar flips to the new year, things get real again. The off-season becomes the pre-season, and this past season becomes last season.

With the racing world taking a short break, I will do the same – as I always do at Christmas. This will be my last post for the next two weeks or so, until I will return here on Monday January 6.

Susan and I want to thank all of the Oilpressure.com readers for another big year. The regular readers here are why we keep doing this. I keep saying, this site may not have the largest readership, but they are the smartest and most polite. This season has been different than most, with some new challenges for covering races thrown our way, that we’ve not dealt with before. Still, we were eventually able to cover all the races we had originally intended to. Hopefully, that situation will be rectified for 2025.

Now, we will settle into our long winter’s nap of Christmas break. Susan is already off work until after the New Year, and my vacation starts Friday afternoon and will run until Jan 2. We both look forward to some fun-time and rest-time. At our age, you have to build in time for rest.

I thought the photoshopped picture of Susan and me in the two-seater had about run its course, so we had a new and recent photo taken just last night. We both want to wish every one of you a very Merry Christmas, and a safe and Happy New Year! Please come back on Monday January 6.
