Finally Made it to Barber

Last night, Mrs. Oilpressure let me know that the cake top she had been working on so feverishly this week, was due on Friday. We would have to drop it off at the bakery she contracts with on our way out of town. Although I was not altogether pleased with that surprise announcement, I’m not sure what else I could do without totally ruining our weekend. Consequently, we arrived at the track around 11:30 this morning – just in time for lunch.

The Porsche Cup North America GT3 (that’s a mouthful)Series is currently on track. based on the schedule, there is a full day of track activity today. there is hardly a second before 6:00, that there is not some series on-track.

My car dash said it was 83° as we were driving through the park. I use the word “park” because that’s what it is. It is a manicured, wooded forest with a hilly race track in the center of it.

We are going to go eat lunch, and explore the IndyCar paddock for a bit. Then, we have an appointment to interview Indy NXT driver Lindsay Brewer, that we have been asked to interview. I’m glad to do it, and we are looking forward to it. But I’m not sure why we were chosen. I don’t really follow Indy NXT and I don’t really do interviews. But I’ve studied up on her and have learned there is a lot more to her than just being an attractive female driver. She actually has an intriguing story. This should be interesting.

We will be both posting here throughout the weekend. You can also follow us on Twitter for photos and videos. You can follow me at @Oilpressureblog and Susan at @MrsOilpressure. Please check back later.

  1. wow George! What a lucky guy you are!! Don’t forget to get the camera out and take a tew pics of Lindsey! 👍

    • I have no idea what you’re talking about. I only look at the person inside.

      • George…..George…….please lighten up. It’s simply a light hearted joke. I didn’t know who she was, looked her up and thought wow isn’t George lucky. It would be similiar to interviewing Linda Vaughn back in the day and you just know she was only interested in promoting Hurst shifters.

        • Can you not tell when I’m being sarcastic? Remember, I am very shallow and superficial. Of course I knew what you meant. And you were right!

          • sorry I didn’t detect the sarcasm! You got me George!! Now share some pictures from Barber! ; )

  2. Enjoy your weekend in Alabama!
