It’s Race Day at Road America!
Good morning from a sunny and warm Road America. It is much more pleasant than it was at this time yesterday morning. The overcast we woke up to has given way to sunny skies and warmer temperatures. I was wearing a jacket this morning, but I quickly realized it was not necessary. Today’s high is supposed to be around 74°.
Colton Herta was assessed a six-grid penalty stemming back to his Carb Day crash. The engine was deemed unrepairable, so he will start eleventh, instead of fifth – moving everyone up one spot between those positions.
This place is really buzzing this morning with the much-improved weather. We will return here after the race, which will begin airing on Big NBC at 11:30 am CDT. Enjoy the race!
