Race Day at the GMR Grand Prix
Good morning from a currently sunny Indianapolis Motor Speedway! However, weather is coming. The first band is supposed to move through around Noon local time (EDT). A round of thunderstorms is expected to move through around 4:00 pm.
With that in mind, IndyCar has made the decision to move the start of the race about thirty-five minutes. The green-flag will now wave at 3:07 pm, just after the NBC coverage goes on the air.
Don’t forget to set your DVRs for The Club, the highly anticipated special featuring the four four-time winners. This was recorded last summer, and all four four-time winners are interviewed by Doug Boles. I hear this is an exceptional documentary that no fan will want to miss. It will air on Big NBC at 2:00 pm EDT, just before today’s race.
I am going to grab a quick bite and then be out in the pits for the morning warm-up. Sometime today, I am going to the museum to check out the Roadsters 2 Records exhibit. I’ll take plenty of photos to report on. From what I hear, it is definitely worth the price of admission ($15).
Please check back later.
