Welcome to a Delayed Carb Day

Welcome to a damp, but drying Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We awoke to rainy skies and warm temperatures (74-degrees). We lounged around and went to check into our regular hotel for the weekend, knowing that there was no way they could start practice on time at 11:00 am.

While unpacking at the hotel, a few friends texted me that they were aiming for a 1:30 pm start for practice. We are now at the track and practice is about ten minutes away. They are still planning on a full two hour practice. The radar looks like they might get it in.

There is a flurry on pit lane, as track drying has been completed and they are getting ready to run.

it is now 56-degrees and dropping. It is over thirty degrees cooler than the last time these cars were on track. Plus, it is very windy. It is still supposed to be sunny and about 68-degrees on Race Day.

I will return here later this afternoon after practice. Please follow me on Twitter at @Oilpressureblog, and Susan at @MrsOilpressure for comments, photos and videos. Please check back later.

  1. I knew I should have checked in first thing this morning to see if all was delayed. Luckily I added time on the DVR. Have fun this weekend!!
