With all of the posts that happen in the Month of May, sometimes I get a little lost in the shuffle. I meant to post these shortly after the race, but time got away from me. The day after the race, we head back into Speedway.

This year we had plans to eat at Charlie Brown’s, but the legendary breakfast spot was closing early. We headed to the Speedway and the gift shop. Usually it is pretty quiet after race day, but this year it seemed like everyone had the same idea and it was crowded—which is great news for merchandise sales. We walked outside and watched the crews clean the stands. We bid farewell to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and headed south. I hope these photos I took on race day bring back some memories for you. If you weren’t able to attend the race this year, we hope to see you next year.
