Welcome To Pocono Raceway!
Good morning from a warm but foggy Pocono Raceway. Actually the fog is quickly giving way to clear blue skies. As promised, the weather looks like it will full cooperate this year as opposed to last year’s ABC Supply 500 that was pushed to Monday.
This looks to be a long but enjoyable day at the track. There are no support series here to fill in the gaps between practices, but there are vintage cars here. In fact, this weekend is the second largest display of vintage race cars during the season outside of Indianapolis. Expect a few photos of those throughout the weekend.
The first practice is from 9:00 to 10:15. Qualifying is at 1:00 and the final practice will be from 5:00 to 5:30. All times are Eastern Daylight Time. Qualifying will be shown live on NBCSN. Tomorrow, the pre-race show on NBCSN begins at 2:00 and the green flag drops at 2:40.
I am going to go wander the paddock as the cars prepare for the first practice that starts in about fifty minutes as I type. I will be back here throughout the day with photos and reports. In the meantime, please follow me on Twitter at @Oilpressureblog throughout the weekend for even more photos that’ll never make it here.
Please check back later.

Saw some Formula Vee’s and some midgets in some of those shots. Glad to see them infusing some other activity to keep fans interested in the huge gaps between action. Good for Andretti they are making immediate progress for the weekend.
