The Wrong Way To Kick Off The Holidays
Surely you didn’t think you would get through the end of the year without one more version of One Take Only. For those that don’t know, this is the occasional videoblog of Oilpressure.com. My good friend, John McLallen, and I will occasionally sit down in front of a video camera, hit the record button and just start talking about the Verizon IndyCar Series. The whole idea is that it is unplanned, unrehearsed and unedited. We do it all in one take – hence the name.
In this episode, I mistakenly claimed that we did a review show in September. Looking back, we never did it. Our previous show was in August, when we were joined by Paul Dalbey of More Front Wing.
Some really liked these things, while some don’t. If you fall into the latter category – don’t watch it. For those that do or think you might, turn it on at least for the sound while you do other things. There’s nothing really to see other than two old men sitting outside in the cold. Why do we do these outside? It’s simple. Even on a cloudy day, the lighting is so much better than if we took it inside. If you are really bored, all episodes are archived under the list of pages to the right of your screen.
In this episode, we mostly talk about the silly season just ended – the moves that made sense and some that didn’t.
One of these days, probably in May in the days approaching the Indianapolis 500 – we are going to try doing a live show on Periscope. Hopefully more than three people would tune in to ask us questions. Until then, pour a cup of warm coffee on a cold morning and listen to us drone on about the offseason.

Thanks Mike! Merry Christmas to you, too!

Yes, “Black Noon’. John was the one that came up with Black Sunday. That was a bad movie about a blimp blowing up at the Super Bowl. We’ll blame it on John.

Taking a poll here: Who has the better hair, George or Helio?
Merry Christmas George and John to you and your families.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, too, Ron, and all the best for a Happy New Year!

I think it would be pretty cool of both of you to record an episode of One Take Only whilst trackside at Barber.
Merry Xmas and a happy new year!

I second the Barber idea, that would be awesome.
Merry Christmas you all!

I forget names I know well when I need them also. Other than that, this was one of the better of these, maybe partially because it is midway though a long break. Thanks for taking th e time to make this.
