It’s Race Day at Nashville Superspeedway!

Good morning from another sun-drenched day at Nashville Superspeedway. Yesterday afternoon was warmer than expected for practice and qualifying. Today will most likely be the same, but possibly a couple of degrees cooler. I’ll take this any day to dodging raindrops at an oval.

Another grid penalty has been announced. There was an unapproved engine change for Nolan Siegel overnight. He had qualified seventh, but will now move back nine spots on the grid to start the race. He joins Callum Ilott and Christian Rasmussen as drivers who will incur grid penalties this afternoon.

We got here earlier today. The public gates don’t open until 9:00 this morning, so it’s too early to get a read on the crowd size for this afternoon. But weather should not be a concern to fans that are on the fence about coming out to the track.

We are going to head to eat some breakfast, and then go catch the Vintage Indy cars later this morning. I will have a race re-cap late this afternoon, and then I will have my usual Random Thoughts here on Monday morning.

Enjoy the race, then please check back here afterwards.
