Welcome to Nashville Superspeedway!

Welcome to a sunny and warm Nashville Superspeedway. There is some good and bad things  about attending a race in your hometown. The good is that it’s great staying in your own bed each night. The bad is that our bed is 51-miles from the track. There are also more distractions at home when you are trying to get out the door – feeding the dogs and ourselves, along with everyday life. Consequently, we didn’t get  into the media center until just as IndyCar practice started.

The usual suspects are here in the media center. This is the fifth year in a row that IndyCar has come to our town, but it is still weird seeing these faces that we have seen all over the country, to be here. It feels like worlds are colliding.

As I look up, that hideous DogeCoin car of Devlin DeFrancesco has brushed the wall. There are still some time left in this session, so we are going to head out to the pits for the rest of the session.

I will be trying to watch my Tennessee Vols at 11:00 CDT, but Susan will have a post up here sometime this afternoon.

Qualifying will take place at 2:00 pm EDT on FS2, and the high-line and final practice will begin at 4:30 pm EDT on FS2.

I will be back here after all track activity ends for a wrap-up of the day, along with a lot of Susan’s photos of the day. Please check back throughout the day.
