Welcome to Road America
Welcome to a partly sunny and muggy Road America. It was raining when we woke up this morning in Fond du Lac, so we went back to sleep and slept in. We were tired from the long drive up yesterday.
After picking up credentials and our golf cart, it was about 11:15 when we arrived at the media center. The USF Pro 2000 cars were on track when we arrived. There is nothing like arriving at a race track and hearing race cars as soon as you get out of the car. You feel like all is right with the world.
The skies have parted and it is getting sunnier by the minute. Today will be nice, as we are only supposed to have a high of 78°. The heat arrives tomorrow. It is slightly better than what they were saying midweek. Saturday will now have a high of only 96° and Sunday is projected to be 97°.
Now that we have gotten settled, we are going to go out and about and enjoy all that is Road America.
Today’s only IndyCar practice will be this afternoon at 4:30 EDT, and will be shown live on FS2. I will be back here after practice this afternoon to comment on anything noteworthy. I will also have plenty of photos from Susan. Please check back later.
