Welcome To Fast Friday At IMS
Friday’s practice got underway promptly at noon local time. There is weather moving in, so there is a flurry of activity. Currently, Sébastien Bourdais has turned the fastest lap at 233.116 mph. He is closely followed by Ryan Hunter-Reay and Takuma Sato. The fastest Chevy s that of Juan Montoya in fourth at 231..662 mph. All of these times are subject to change Before I even finish typing.
Although rain may hit the Speedway in a little bit, it doesn’t look like a long-term ordeal. It probably won’t last more than ten minutes. Of course, the track will need to be dried but once that takes place, practice should resume for the rest of the day.
Of course, rain seems to be a threat for the entire weekend. Dodging raindrops may be an ongoing theme throughout qualifying weekend.
We are headed out to enjoy the dry conditions while we can. If and when it rains, I’ll be back here for an update. Meanwhile, follow me on Twitter at @Oilpressureblog or Susan at @MrsOilpressure.
Back in a bit.
